Found some interesting "poem" in aunty Julia's house pasted on her cuboard. Here it is:

Woman was made from the rib of man not from his head to top him, neither from his feet to be walked upon. She was made from his side to be his equal;
from beneath his arm to be protected by him;
from very near his heart to be loved by him.

Anyway, haven't updated in a LONG time. I'll try to make this a concise update on my life since the last update =P

I've started giving tuition to Jacob Ooi every week. At least I feel like I'm getting some of my car petrol paid for by myself. I also did three photo shoots not too long ago, two graduation ceremony's. Friends of friend's paid me abt $100 to take shots for them around uni and after the ceremony at night. Around that time, I did a pre-wedding photoshoot for Marvin's sister. I'd say it was the best photo shoot I've done so far. You can check out some of the photos from deviantArt (see the link in the menu bar). My brothers and dad came over the week my parents had their 25th silver anniversary. It was kinda fun, got to hang out with my older bro and timmy together again. Only difference is both brought their girl friends everywhere we went. Thats just about all the big news I have. Until next time, God bless ya'll! =D

The Year 2007

Haven't been updating for quite awhile =), here's my life's update up till now,

Singapore
Went back to Singapore for holiday mid December. Met up with my favourite friends, Jawn and Heng Wei. Jawn hasn't really changed much, heart still as on fire for God as the last time i met him and still as street smart and as much of a lateral thinker as he's always been. Being around him always makes me feel energised and his blog entries make me keep my mind on the ball thinking through situations or just stuff not commonly brought up (at least not in my circle). Then there was Heng Wei, someone who speaks round in circles but fun to be with nonetheless. he never seizes to amuse me with his simplicity and suprising wisdom. Anyway, one of the highlights of this trip in Singapore was going to the apple store and spending $8K of someone else's money on a Mac Pro for church. Haha.

Bali Stopped by Bali before going to East Timor on mission trip. Bali was like a holiday for most of the team. The only serious part was shopping for supplies to bring to East Timor. (e.g. lollies, skipping ropes, soccer ball...) Stayed at The Green Garden Hotel, nice small cheap cosey hotel. Alvin and I had to share room and bed O.O on the way back to SG from East Timor to Bali it was better, we had more beds in the room. haha.

East Timor So much happened here... I'll try to summarise it... The living conditions for us was actually very good, there weren't many power blackouts while we were staying there. I guess the only tough part was, 13 people, ONE toilet, no running water, so we had to carry water from the outside tank to the toilet tank where we would scoop water to "flush" the toilet and "shower".
The village we visited is Kamalelara in the district of Luquica about 40mins drive from East Timor capital Dili. The villagers were almost all very happy to see us and happy to receive the gifts and blessings we brought. I'll update this post with photos as soon as I'm done editing my cousin's wedding photos and East Timor photos. The highlight of the entire trip was in 5mins for me. On the Saturday that we were there, we held a "Community day" for the kids. We had two sessions of games for the kids, and in the second session 105 children turned up. The highlight was when a small group of children presented a poem and a song to us. The meaning of both were something along this line, "Mother, Father, please love us, we are the leaders of the future generations, so Mother, Fathers please love us." When the translator translated the poem and songs to us I was moved to tears. The moment was indescribable. Thats all I'll say about East Timor for now i guess.

Recently my mum and I had a talk about the works of God in our lives and my mum had a word from God for me. The word from God was that this year is going to be a year of Increase (in knowledge and wisdom), and a year of favour and a year of changes. heh... hope He doesn't go too tough on me... haha... getting pretty excited for what God has instore for me.

Amazing you are,
my source of life
How wonderful you are,
my provider
Amazing you are,
the living water
Wonderful you are,
the bread of life

Enjoy
